AJ was most remembered for his showmance with Kara Nieves and his complete power over the house during the course of the season. When AJ won the first HoH of the summer, he formed an alliance that they later named The Elite Squad. Despite his major threat level, many of the houseguests ignored this due to their disdain for each other. This led to AJ and Kara being able to outmaneuver everyone else by winning competitions. When they reached the Final Two, many members of the jury were outspoken toward AJ being the winner due to his complete control. Because of this, he was crowned the first ever winner with five jury votes, cementing himself into the Big Brother Hall of Fame.
